School Philosophy

At Tung Der High School we believe that through the use of various methods of assessment we can strengthen our teaching and provide a framework for learning. This is an ongoing process that involves the teacher and student, and provides information to parents and the administration allowing all to continually reflect on, revise, refine and celebrate performance.

Tung Der High School acknowledges the relationship between teaching, learning and assessments. It is important to use a wide range of formative and summative assessment strategies, and approaches to cater to students' different learning needs and styles to help ensure that they are allowed to express themselves and feel valued. Students are encouraged to reflect on and assess their learning to enable them to take responsibility for their education.

 

Assessments are considered informative opportunities for both the teacher and the student. Giving feedback to students on their performance is a crucial step. It should be delivered and accepted constructively, pointing out strengths and proposing strategies to overcome emerging weaknesses. Clear communication of assessment principles and criteria is essential for students' academic and personal growth. Therefore, teachers set up clear objectives and criteria for each assessment so the students can clearly understand what is expected of them.

 

Accurate and easily accessible recording of assessment outcomes fosters open and transparent communication between the school, families, students, and teachers. Families are regularly informed about their children’s progress and given suggestions on how to support them to help them reach their full potential.

 

Our students are made aware of the purpose and criteria for success in assessment and our teachers facilitate learning experiences designed to enable the students to meet the assessment requirements. When needed, assessment tasks are modified to meet the diverse linguistic, cultural, and learning needs of our students while at the same time maintaining consistent standards of excellence.

APPLICATION PROCESS
學生入學申請流程

STEP 1: STUDENTS & PARENTS INTERVIEW

步驟一: 學生與家長個別面談
After an initial consultation with the students' parents, the following process will be followed.

STEP 2: SUBMIT APPLICATION AND SUPPORTING DOCUMENTS

步驟二: 繳交申請表及備審資料

Please submit the following completed documents to our admissions office:

  1. Completed Application Form For TDID. 
    填妥國際文憑實驗班申請表
  2. Identification
    身分資料
  3. Transfer Certificate or Graduation Certificate.
    在學證明或畢業證書
  4. Official transcripts or report cards from the previous two academic years.
    近兩年的成績單

STEP 3: ADMIN DEPAREMENT REVIEW

步驟三: 文件審核

After receiving these documents, the Admissions Office will complete a review to determine whether student interview can be offered.

招生組將審核家長提交的申請文件,以判定是否合適安排家長及學生進行面試。

同德國際部將聯絡符合資格的學生,並安排下一階段的面試。若申請學生未能通過此階段審核,原因可能包括成績未達標準或語言能力不足等,學校將另行通知。


STEP 4: ACCEPTANCE DECISION

步驟四: 錄取結果

After the interview and a review of the final documents, an acceptance decision will be made.

If an applicant is not accepted at this stage, their family will be officially notified by telephone.

After a written formal acceptance is received, all tuition and fees must be paid by the designated due date in order to reserve a seat. Failure to meet the deadline will result in forfeiture of the student’s enrollment and placement on the waiting list.

Once an applicant is accepted, the Student Medical Information and Student Enrollment Information are required to be completed by a parent or guardian as a condition of enrollment.

同德國際部將依據面試以及備審資料來評估申請學生的資格;未通過審核的學生將收到學校的電話通知。

一旦收到正式的錄取通知,請在指定的繳費期限內完成繳費程序,以確保自己的錄取名額。逾期未繳費者將失去錄取資格,並可能影響候補名單中的順序。

完成錄取程序後,學生需要提交由其父母或監護人填寫完整的健康資料和入學相關文件。

Campus Dormitories & Pricing
TDID offers for its students multiple options for campus dormitory accommodation.

  1. Our dormitory are all Quadruple rooms with bunk beds, each room can stay up to 4 boarders.

  2. Boarding fee is NTD. $15,000-$16,000 per semester, subject to number of boarding days. Water & natural gas bill included.

  3. Electricity fee excluded, boarders will have to top up their room A/C card.

  4. Daily breakfast and dinner are NOT included, boarders will have to purchase their meals at the canteen.

  5. If international students come to Taiwan without thier legal guardians, our institution can assist in arranging local guardians and have personnel to keep in close contact and provide proper care.

  6. Students and faculty are all welcomed to stay at our dormitory.

  7. Payment Options: bank counters, ATMs, remittance, and online ATM transfers

  • WHEN IS THE ACADEMIC YEAR?
    The acamdemic year runs from August to June.

 

  • WHAT ARE THE LEARNING HOURS?
    The instituion runs from Monday to Friday.

    MYP (Grade6-10) : 8.50 a.m. to 4.20 p.m.

    DP   (Grade11-12): 8.50 a.m. to 4.20 p.m.

 

  • DOES TDID PROVIDE TRANSPORTATION?
    Yes. We offer a shuttle bus service to certain parts around our campus.The shuttle bus service is available for students starting in Year 1 to Year 12.

 

  •  IS THERE A UNIFORM OR SPORTSWEAR?
    The adherence to the school uniform policy is mandatory for all students.

    Additionally, specific attire is designated for various sports and formal events. It is expected that students maintain a tidy and dignified appearance while wearing their uniforms.

 

  • ARE THERE MEALS & SNACKS?
    We offer lunch services for your child throughout the day. To ensure the safety of children with significant allergies, such as those to dairy, wheat, or nuts, we highly recommend that you notify the school in advance as part of the admission process.

    *Students will have their snack during the morning and afternoon break time.

 

  • HOW MUCH IS THE TUITION? WHEN SHOULD I PAY FOR IT?
    Annually, our admission department furnishes the fee schedule for the upcoming academic year. For further details, please reach out to our admissions staff.

    Upon enrollment, the institution will provide you with a payment invoice, inclusive of payment deadlines.

    It is recommended to renew registration at the conclusion of each academic year to maintain continuous enrollment.

 

  • HOW CAN I APPLY FOR THE DORMITORY?
    For safety issues, ONLY Grade 6-12 students are qualified to apply for the school Dormitory . You may contact the Student Affairs Office for more information.

 

  • ARE STUDENTS ALLOWED TO USE 3C PRODUCTS AT CAMPUS?
    Students may utilize laptops or mobile phones with the authorization of teachers.

    Laptops serve as educational tools, while mobile phones can serve various purposes under the supervision of teachers.
